Bergamo (Italy), Feb 9 (Inditop.com) US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the first round of the 425,000 euros Challenger tennis here.
Prakash went down fighting 5-7, 6-1, 5-7 to Italian wildcard Marco Crugnola on the hard court Monday.
The 222nd-ranked Indian is also playing in the doubles. He and his American partner Brendan Evans open against Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan and Italian Alessandro Motti.
Also in the doubles are India’s Harsh Mankad and Dustin Brown of Jamaica. They play second seeds Britain’s Jamie and Jonathan Murray in the first round.
