Raipur, July 7 (Inditop.com) A youth was allegedly robbed of Rs.2 million by his friend who threw acid on him and fled with the bag containing the cash here Tuesday, police said.
The robbery took place in Daldal Siwni area under Mowa police station of the city.
The victim, who was yet to be identified, was rushed to a government hospital with about 80 percent burn injuries, police added.
“The money belonged to a private company and the youth, who was an employee of the firm, was carrying the money in a bag on a motorcycle,” Mowa police station chief T.S. Jagrit said.
The Raipur police have sealed all entry and exit points to track down the attacker.
