Chandigarh, July 3 (Inditop.com) P.S. Gill Friday became the new director general of Punjab Police, taking charge from his elder brother and acting police chief R.S. Gill.
Gill, a 1974 batch Indian Police Service officer, is on deputation from Jammu and Kashmir. He superseded several Punjab officers to become the head of the 70,000-strong force.
