Ranchi, July 9 (Inditop.com) A youth in a Jharkhand village killed his parents after feeling humiliated by his mother’s elopement with a youth and his father’s decision to bring her back home, police said Thursday.
According to police, Pintu, 17, a resident of Nichetoli village of Tamar block, around 70 km from Ranchi, attacked his parents with an axe Wednesday evening, killing both of them.
Pintu’s mother Sabi Devi had eloped with a youth of the same village last week. However, his father, Suresh Seth persuaded his wife to return home Tuesday. Pintu, who opposed his father’s decision, had a heated argument with him over the issue Wednesday evening, following which he attacked his parents.
Police said that according to the villagers, Pintu was feeling depressed and humiliated over his mother’s act.
Pintu escaped from the village after the incident. Police have launched operations to trace and arrest him.
