Ghaziabad, May 13 (Inditop) Autopsy of the teenage girl murdered in her house here earlier this week has revealed that she was first gangraped before being hanged, police said Wednesday.
The father of the girl, Surendra Jatav, a tailor by profession, had lodged a complaint that Wednesday about half a dozen men had barged into his house, locked the elder daughter in a room and hanged the younger one by her own dupatta (stole).
“According to Jatav’s elder daughter Babli, about half a dozen men barged into their house Monday night while their parents were away. The men locked her into a room before dragging her younger sister to a corner where they hanged her,” Ghaziabad police chief Akhil Kumar said.
The criminals fled the spot after killing the teenager. Neighbours freed Babli on hearing her shouts and informed the police, he added.
